My name is Stephanie, and I am the founder and co-owner of Tarte Boudoir!
Yep. That's me up there.
I can't take credit for the gorgeous photo though. It was captured by the very talented Miranda Parker Boudoir! And really, that image is what started it all.
If you're anything like me, you've always admired pictures from boudoir sessions, but figured you weren't hot enough, skinny enough, or even comfortable enough to bare it all in front of the camera. Let's face it, scheduling an intimate portrait session takes some courage. But, once I decided to take the leap and invest, there was absolutely NO going back!
And, I'm so glad I decided to take that chance. What I thought would be a session and resulting images for my husband of 13 years, actually became a gift for ME. I began to stop the self-deprecating comments. I began to love myself. I began to heal.
I realized I wanted to empower others like me, and show them how truly beautiful they are!
To tell you a little bit more about myself... I’m a dreamer- full of ambition, determination, and an overall love of life and all the experiences it brings.
I believe that kindness, thrown out into the world, will be returned to you tenfold; that everything is better with a little sparkle; and that Nutella is straight up the best thing ever. If I won the lottery, I would spend all of my money taking as many college courses on as many topics as I could. I have undergraduate degrees in International Relations, International Business, and Spanish. And, I graduated from Michigan State University with a Master in Intelligence Analysis in 2010. I’m somewhat of a nerd, though I try to hide it. (Maybe not as well as I think I do!)
I also own a child and family fine art portrait business- Lemmonmade Photography. I have taught workshops all over the country, mainly because I love to travel!
I simply adore my hilarious and SMOKING HOT husband, our three goofy girls, and our dog- Dobby. In another life, I live in a French farmhouse just outside of Paris, but find that reality here in Metro Detroit is just as pleasant and sweet.
Five fun facts about me:
1. I made it to the final interview with the clandestine service of the CIA. But, they ultimately didn't hire me. 2. I'm obsessed with my Bernedoodle, Dobby. I want another one, but this guy is a naughty turd. Hubby says I can't have a second dog until I stop babying our current pooch. (Not gonna happen.) 3. I LOVE Harry Potter. Seriously... I even had some HP boudoir photos done! 4. I lived in Spain for a semester in college and speak fluent Spanish. (I'm pretty rusty now though!) 5. I want to adopt a son. My mom was a foster child, and adoption has a special meaning for me.
